Nasser Fatouraee received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Laval University, Quebec, Canada. He did his postdoctoral studies at Washington University Medical Center and now he is a faculty member and the head of Biomechanics and Sports Engineering Department of Biomedical Engineering Faculty in Amirkabir University of Technology.

Areas of Interest: Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) in Biomechanics, Bio-Fluid Dynamics, Heat & Mass Transfer in Living Systems, and Cardiovascular Flow Image Analysis.

 Group

Dr. Nasser Fatouraee is head of the Biological Fluid Mechanics Laboratory in BME faculty. BFM lab's major areas of research have been in applying fluid dynamics and computational techniques to problems in biology. In particular, the focus of our research has been on the following four core problem areas: blood flow in arteries, blood flow imaging technology,  blood perfusion in heart, and heat and transfer in biological systems.
