 Introduction:

In this Lab, we are interested to understand how human brain and neuromuscular system work. We work on mathematical modeling of cognitive processes, modeling of human movement and control, computational neuroscience, are our major interests in studying human behaviors in CNCM Lab.  Cybernetic principles (goal-directed and self-organized controlling procedures that shape based on communication in biological systems and machine) are also very important in our researches. We use different linear and nonlinear methods such as chaos theory for these purposes.



 

Current Research topics:

Our research has been focused mainly on reaching movement modeling and control, cognitive modeling, neuro-muscular electrical stimulator devices, rehabilitation robotics, functional brain connectivity analysis, spinal level reflex analysis, design and implementation of sEMG recording devices, EEG and EMG analysis, biofeedback devices, computer games for rehabilitation and etc.
